“La Vague “ (The Wave)
Oscillating sculpture. Blue solution, metal and plexiglas. A brushed steel base with motorised movements receives a plexiglass cuboid which contains a blue viscous liquid with water. The movement creates a slow tidal wave effect.
10 x 23 x 3.5 in.

This sculpture is a small model of the famous Wave used in Jean Jacques Beneix’s 1981 movie, Diva. During the movie the Wave appears several times, like a ponctuation in the story. It was interpreted by critics as an allusion to the French Nouvelle Vague.
